Big and little. Look carefully at the images on the wall.

This is interesting because Doug, my husband, has a lecture on the many faces of Jesus; this particular one he refers to as the Mormon Jesus. I do believe it is unique to the Mormon faith. I grew up with images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (which we referred to as the "Jesus with the outside heart") and paintings of Jesus with little children surrounding him. But my Southern experience did not include this Jesus.

This painting are (these paintings are) by Warner Sallman (1941), he's from an obscure evangelical sect.

My mom used told me when I was little that this painting was displayed prominently at the front of her girlhood chapel (she was raised in the Mormon faith), and that it was taken down at some point with the goal of encouraging people to envision Jesus however they wanted to. My mom was sad when they took the picture away.
